T-Mobile is currently running a nationwide competition of which American hometown football team has the most pride. They are measuring it based off of social media challenges, as well as online voting. The grand prize-winning school will get over $1 million dollars (yes you heard that right) for their football program, and other athletic aspects. Thanks to the determination of Mishawaka High School, and the pride of our alumni, the Cavemen have made it to the Top 25 in the nation out of thousands of schools.

This is not the point to celebrate though, but to keep voting and sharing this contest with everyone you know. The rules are that one person can vote once a day by inputting their email into the specific T-Mobile Mishawaka Cavemen website. Voting ends on October 24, 2025, so you can vote once every day until then.

Currently at the time of writing this article, Mishawaka is in 20^th place out of the Top 25, and frankly, we can easily get to 1^st place if we rally as a community behind Mishawaka in these coming days. The combined population of the Top 7 cities competing against Mishawaka is 46,935 people. The city of Mishawaka alone has 51,063 people and can easily beat any of the Top 7 schools if we mobilize even just a fraction of the city to vote.

I understand that not everyone in Mishawaka are Cavemen, we have Knights, and Kingsmen too, but I am asking the readers to put down their school rivalry to look at the facts. MHS is the only school in Indiana in the Top 25, winning $1 million dollars would greatly benefit the children of Mishawaka, the money spent would go to local businesses, and our whole city would potentially get national recognition. It is a net positive in every aspect.

With this, I am calling upon every Mishawakan to pitch in and help our community to the finish line by voting early and voting often. I am including a QR code with this article that you can use to go directly to the website to vote. Remember, vote daily, share, and spread the word. Community pride is what keeps Mishawaka the greatest hometown in America, so let us show the entire country that we mean it!
