I am proud to announce that I have collaborated with the Mishawaka Historical Museum (https://mishawakamuseum.org) to bring the ‘Spirit of Mishawaka’ design to t-shirt form after popular request. I co-created the design with my friend, Sadie Campbell, based on a 1915 newspaper comic sketch. The original sketch, created by an artist named “Fries” was used to rally Mishawakans to prevent South Bend from annexing Mishawaka.
The shirts are based on a 110-year-old Pro-Mishawaka comic, which was co-designed by a seventh generation Mishawakan, produced by RiverBend Apparel, a Mishawaka business, and 100% of proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go directly to the Mishawaka Historical Museum, a Mishawaka non-profit.
The shirts cost ONLY $20 each with NO ADDITIONAL TAX, and they come in two colors, gray or light blue. This is a perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season, and the money will be used to help preserve Mishawaka’s rich history. Purchase them quickly while supplies last, as this is a limited run. The museum is open on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, from 10AM to 4PM.
